I've been thinking about the need for me to start showing a little more hospitality.  I'm always welcoming, but I haven't had any formal gatherings in a while. That's got a lot to do with the condition of my property.  That's going to change now and my picnic table is the first step.

Centerpiece - It's still drying. It will get a protective coat of clear varnish in the morning.   MANGIA!

On the four corners.  I did this with a store-bought stencil and special stencil paint. 

Almost done.  I'm going to paint the seats and the edge of the table green

First coat of paint.  I went to my brother's house around 1 pm for 4th of July and it's lucky I had the table under a tarp.  We got hit with a massive thunderstorm.

Second coat of paint.  First coat of varnish sealer.  Some sanding and more coats tomorrow night and we'll be ready to "Mangia!"

The top coat really brought out the design.
