| The Bassinet |

| My Maternal Grandmother owned a white wicker bassinet and it has been a tradition to pass it on to the family of the newest baby to be born. Just before our extended family Christmas gathering this year, the happy announcement came that my cousin, Angelo and his wife Barbara, who live in Philadelphia, were expecting. So my cousin from Long Island who had it, brought it to the party. Then somebody got a great idea to take a picture with every family member who ever slept in it as an infant. This is 3 generations of our family represented. Standing directly behind the bassinet is my grandmother's original 4 children; (L - R) my Aunt Jean in black, My mom, Antoinette in red, my Uncle Gene and Aunt Rosemarie. My nephew is in the bassinet. |
